Samsung Galaxy Alpha Release on 26 Sept. for iPhone 6

The hot market of mobile devices catch fire with release of sixth gen iPhone this September 9th. Apple released the sales stats of their iPhone devices, there were over 4 million preorders made in first 24 hours on Sept. 12, and later they announced that over 10 million devices were sold in the week.

Apple has been pretty successful this year with their iPhone models, they have made record sales in first 24 hours of product availability, as well as in first week of the offerings.

On the other hand biggest Android mobile manufacturer didn’t had that great sales this year and seems to be on slower side. Their flagship device Galaxy S5 was not able to make great impression on mobile market. Sure Samsung succeeded to sell 11 million units in first month of S5 availability but it slowed down in following months.

Samsung for challenging iPhone 6 in mobile market released their new flagship device which looks as well as has specs pretty similar to new Apple phone, Galaxy Alpha, which debuts on Sept. 26th in US only on contract through AT&T at price of $200 on standard two year contract.

The Device

Samsung have beautifully carved their Alpha smartphone in metal body. The device runs on latest Android KitKat version, is powered by two Quad Core processor, features a 13 MP snapper, 2 MP front facing, 32 gig storage with no expandable slot, and all latest smartphone features. Alpha is given look and feel similar to iPhone 6 model. The device has 4.7 inch display with pixel density just under iPhone 6, ~312 compared to ~326 of iPhone 6. Hardware of Alpha is packed in metal body with round edge similar to new iPhone models.

As always Samsung has tweaked the device software giving it its own interface. Samsung offer their own apps through Galaxy store additionally user have access to android apps offered by third party mobile application development companies through Play Store.

Overview

It is very first time in past some years that Samsung has released a flagship phone under 5.0 inch sized display. Galaxy Alpha is released in competition to iPhone 6 with similar look and feel. The device is debuted on 26th of September and is offered at $200 from AT&T on a standard two years contract only in US as of now.
